Short Biography

I am writing to express my strong interest in joining the team as IT/PMO Sr. Project Manager/Program Mgr. With an extensive background in project management, specifically within IT environments and telecommunications, I am confident in my ability to bring value to any organization. I look to continue as a Senior Project Manager with significant experience in government, utilities and private sectors, I have successfully planned, scheduled, led, and conducted activities necessary to complete IT projects (~$5M+) based on industry best practices, all while aligning them with organizational goals. Using my expertise includes preparing and guiding enterprise-wide project teams through critical planning activities, identifying the critical path for each initiative, and establishing robust methodologies to ensure successful project execution. I am well-versed in phase gate approvals and documentation processes, as well as providing comprehensive weekly project reports and financial updates. As I believe my qualifications are reinforced by a strong understanding of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), along with a deep familiarity with IT Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards and methodologies. During my recent tenure at San Francisco City & County Public Works IT, we launched a small PMO and developed processes and procedures that raised the department's PMO maturity level. I also managed the intake and prioritization of projects to ensure alignment with organizational strategic goals. My hands-on experience setting up PMO frameworks and my proven ability to implement governance and standardized project management best practices equip me to succeed in these types of roles.
I have a track record of managing complex projects across multiple disciplines, including collaborating with stakeholders from executives to engineers. I have led medium to large-scale IT projects that involved regulatory compliance, legislative mandates, and cross-functional teams, ensuring timely delivery and strategic alignment. My experience includes managing highly matrixed teams, challenging stakeholders and integrating new technologies and processes across departments, while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and data security laws. One of my key achievements involved leading IT projects that supported the City of San Francisco's modernization and digitization efforts. I collaborated with IT, legal, procurement, and inter-agency teams to ensure compliance with internal policies and external legislative requirements. My role at Stanford Healthcare Hospital further demonstrated my ability to manage the implementation of critical IT applications while working with interdisciplinary teams overcoming difficult situations, to meet tight deadlines and complex regulatory demands. Although I have not worked as a Project Manager specifically in a retail related project or system, my expertise is transferable and experiences and skill sets easily applicable to all information technologies or information systems and infrastructure used today.
My decades of experience alongside Bachelor of Science in Organizational Behavior and PMP certification, have proven extensive experience in project portfolio management, budget oversight, and contract administration and meaningful solutions to challenges being experienced.
